Our History

In the apprentice tradition of Japan, Chef Kevin was a longtime disciple of Chef Seki on the upper east side of Manhattan.

Over the years he developed a following of his own and established relationships with various ethnic communities of Brooklyn. He was often urged to take his innovative sushi concept over the bridge.

Now Chef Kevin has brought his high-quality, inventive cuisine to Sushi MiKasa. It is the first omakase-centered, high end Japanese restaurant of its kind in south Brooklyn. Chef Kevin is an artist with fish, using only the highest quality cuts, and delivering a delicious experience for everyone.
